Solutions

Six systems. One goal: a true view of factory reality.

Each solution solves one specific operational problem and connects with the others as you grow. Start with your most pressing issue; expand once the first system has proven its value.

MES — Manufacturing Execution System

The layer between planning and the machines: turn the daily plan into executed orders — and report what actually happened, hour by hour.

What it is

Your ERP decides what to make; your machines decide what actually happens. MES is the missing layer in between: it dispatches work orders to the line, guides operators with paperless instructions, counts every unit and every minute of downtime — so planning, management and your customers work from one version of the truth.

How we deploy

  1. 1 Map the value stream and data sources (about a week)
  2. 2 Pilot on one line: orders, counting, downtime, OEE
  3. 3 Integrate ERP and quality data, then roll out site-wide

What you get

  • Work orders dispatched to each line, with progress tracked in real time
  • Paperless SOPs and work instructions right at the workstation
  • Automatic counting of output, scrap and downtime — with reasons, not guesses
  • Batch and lot genealogy: raw material to finished carton, one click
  • OEE calculated by the system — availability × performance × quality
  • Integration with the ERP you already run (SAP, Dynamics, Odoo…)

Good fit if…

  • Production reports are typed by hand today
  • OEE is unknown — or argued about
  • Customers or audits demand lot traceability

Watch-out

Master data (BOM, routings) must be cleaned up first — we help you do it before go-live, not after.

02

Logistics

Smart Warehouse — WMS

Know where every pallet, box and batch is — and make the fastest path from receiving to line-side the default path.

What it is

Most factory warehouses run on Excel, habit and memory — until one stock miss stops the line. A WMS replaces all three with barcode-driven tasks: receiving checks, guided put-away, enforced FIFO/FEFO, picking with scan verification, and cycle counts that keep the system honest without shutting the warehouse down.

How we deploy

  1. 1 Label locations and items, load opening balances
  2. 2 Go live in one zone (raw materials), then expand
  3. 3 Connect ERP and line-issue flows

What you get

  • Receiving with barcode/RFID and inspection gates — nothing enters stock unchecked
  • Bin-level locations: put-away guided, found-first-time
  • FIFO/FEFO enforced by the system, not by memory
  • Pick and issue tasks on handheld or tablet, with scan verification
  • Cycle counting without closing the warehouse
  • Two-way sync with ERP purchasing, production and accounting

Good fit if…

  • The system says 320 boxes, the line counts 296
  • Expiry write-offs happen more than anyone admits
  • New warehouse staff need weeks to learn where things are

Watch-out

A WMS rewards discipline — item master and locations must be correct from day one. We budget that work into the project.

03

Machines

Industrial IoT & Monitoring

Make a 20-year-old machine report for duty: status, counts, cycles, temperature, energy — live, with alerts.

What it is

You do not need new machines to start a smart factory. A counter pulse, a current sensor or a small edge gateway is enough to make legacy equipment report status automatically. Data flows to a live board per line, per shift — and the moment something drifts, the right person gets an alert instead of a surprise.

How we deploy

  1. 1 Pick 2–3 critical machines, install sensors and a gateway
  2. 2 Calibrate against manual counts, tune alert thresholds
  3. 3 Expand machine by machine as value shows up

What you get

  • Machine status (running / idle / down) detected automatically
  • Counts and cycle times per machine, per shift, per order
  • Condition signals: temperature, vibration, current, air pressure
  • Energy sub-metering per line — the bill stops being one mystery number
  • Alerts to screens, email or Telegram when thresholds break
  • Live OEE on legacy lines, without touching the PLC

Good fit if…

  • Downtime is estimated, not measured
  • The same machine mysteriously slows every afternoon
  • Energy bills climb with no explanation

Watch-out

Sensors are cheap, but alert fatigue is real — we start with thresholds your team will actually respect.

04

Quality & Maintenance

Applied AI

AI only where the math pays for itself — inspection, maintenance, forecasting — piloted against a baseline before anything scales.

What it is

AI in a factory is not magic; it is statistics with discipline. We deploy it where a measurable baseline exists and a model can beat it: catching visual defects before packing, hearing the early signature of a failing bearing, forecasting demand and material needs. Every deployment starts as a pilot with an agreed baseline — if the model cannot beat it, we say so and stop.

How we deploy

  1. 1 Free feasibility check: do you have the data volume and labels?
  2. 2 Pilot against a written baseline on one defect class or one asset
  3. 3 Scale only after the pilot report says it is worth it

What you get

  • Visual defect detection: camera + model at the critical stations
  • Anomaly detection on machine and sensor data streams
  • Demand and material forecasting that survives seasonality
  • Document AI: packing lists, certificates of analysis, delivery notes
  • Human-in-the-loop review — the model proposes, your QA decides
  • A retraining pipeline, so accuracy holds as products change

Good fit if…

  • A specific, repeated defect class costs real scrap
  • Failure of one critical asset is expensive and noisy
  • Forecast misses cause overtime and expediting

Watch-out

We will tell you honestly if you do not yet have the data — and what to start collecting this quarter.

Foundations

Data Platform & OT Security

The boring layer that makes the smart layer safe: one data spine, one access model, one network you can defend.

What it is

MES, WMS, sensors and ERP each speak their own dialect. Left alone, you get CSV exports and shadow spreadsheets. We build the data spine between them — collect, model, store, serve — and secure the factory network that carries it, so an infection in the office network cannot reach the line.

How we deploy

  1. 1 Inventory data sources and network topology
  2. 2 Stand up the platform on-premise or private cloud
  3. 3 Segment the OT network, then onboard systems one by one

What you get

  • One unified data model across MES, WMS, ERP and IoT streams
  • A historian for machine data — years of context for AI later
  • Dashboards per role: operator, shift lead, plant manager, HQ
  • IT/OT network segmentation, firewalls and access control
  • Backup and restore drills for production-critical systems
  • Audit logs and practices aligned with ISO 27001

Good fit if…

  • Every department has its own spreadsheet version of the truth
  • IT and OT networks are one flat network
  • You cannot say where a year of machine data lives

Watch-out

Security without access discipline is theater — we design roles with your team, not for them.

06

Legacy

Modernization & Migration

Retire the Excel macros, Access databases and end-of-life systems that hold production hostage — without stopping the line.

What it is

Somewhere in your plant, a business-critical system runs on one person's laptop, an expired license and a 2007 Access database. Everyone is afraid to touch it. We move it to maintainable, documented software with the discipline the line requires: like-for-like first, improvements second, parallel runs, and a cutover plan built around your shutdown calendar.

How we deploy

  1. 1 Weeks 1–2 · Audit & rank
  2. 2 Months 1–3 · Rebuild & migrate
  3. 3 Months 3–4 · Parallel, cut, hand over

What you get

  • Inventory of systems, scripts and dark-corner databases
  • What-breaks-if-it-dies ranking, by production impact
  • Like-for-like re-implementation before any improvements
  • Improvements only after stabilization
  • Parallel run until old and new numbers match
  • Cutover scheduled inside your shutdown windows

Good fit if…

  • Only one person understands the production database
  • Every change to the old system is a gamble
  • The vendor ended support years ago

Watch-out

If the old system still serves you well, we will say “don’t touch it” — and help you protect it instead. Modernization is a means, not a rite of passage.

Architecture

Better together.

Each system works alone; the payoff compounds when they share data. A typical architecture for our clients:

SENSE

IIoT on machines and warehouse — status, counts, energy.

EXECUTE

MES runs the line; WMS feeds it with the right material.

DECIDE

Data platform + applied AI: dashboards, forecasts, alerts.

ERP underneath — plans, purchasing, finance — connected to every layer.

The Path

Three steps from here to a pilot.

Questions factories ask us

Build or buy?
Both, honestly. We buy a packaged product when it beats building — and integrate it properly; we build when your process is the advantage. Every proposal states which, and why.
Can it run on-premise or on our own server?
Yes — common for our Japanese clients. On-premise or private cloud: your production data stays inside the infrastructure you choose.
How long until it is live?
A pilot goes live in 2–4 weeks. A site-wide MES or WMS typically runs 3–6 months, depending on the number of lines and integrations.
Do we need to replace our ERP?
No. We make the shop floor tell the truth to the ERP you keep — integration is our specialty, not disruption.
Who maintains it after go-live?
We run it with you under an SLA while your team is trained to take over. Many clients keep us for continuous improvement — that is the “Run together” step.
Our machines are old — is that a problem?
Old machines are our normal starting point. See Industrial IoT above: a counter pulse or a current sensor is usually enough to begin.
